I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become ~ Carl Jung
People often turn to counselling when they feel unable to cope mentally, emotionally, physically and, or spiritually to the parallels of unresolved emotional past issues and current environmental stressors and relational circumstances in the 'Here & Now'.
Online Counselling is talking therapy held over secure video or audio conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp. You agree to meet with a professional counsellor who will listen to you without prejudice, help you make sense of your world and find ways for you to feel better and empowered. For maximum effectiveness sessions are usually set at weekly intervals, gradually decreasing to once fortnightly until the work comes to a natural completion. You will discuss with counsellor and agree what's best for you. Online counselling offers more flexibility independent of meeting at a location, and is easily accessible from smart phone, tablet, or laptop wherever you are. It is as effective as face to face meetings. The difference is down to your preference.
You might be struggling with change, perhaps experiencing family conflict at a level that is leaving you feeling unloved, angry and frustrated? Or maybe you find yourself in the middle of a relationship breakup that is causing you discomfort and distress, with underlying feelings of sadness, uncertainty and/or anxiety, that could be impacting on your self worth, work performance and life balance? Sometimes you might feel so confused you don't even know how you feel or what you need.
Counselling offers you the opportunity to gain greater self awareness and understanding into yourself and those around you, that can bring some much needed peace and clarity. Whatever your needs, and goals, counselling offers a safe, empathic, non judgemental and secure confidential space, where you can speak your truth, express your thoughts and feelings openly and feel heard. The process explores your options towards resolve at your own pace until the work with your counsellor is complete.
